The links here contain general reference materials such as an HTML version of the builder's handbook as well as other useful building documents containing hints and tips for successful building. Eventually this portion of the web site will contain links to popular building programs available on the web. CircleMUD 3.0 Builder's Handbook
This is a complete version of the text-based builder's handbook,
converted to HTML by Nylad. This link consists of one large HTML
document, without internal links between sections.
NOTE: This is the stock circle builder's manual, NOT Phoenix's custom
builder's manual, and is for reference purposes only.
PhoenixMUD 3.0 Builder's Handbook
This is an HTML version of the full PhoenixMUD 3.0 builder's handbook. The
Table of Contents provides links to each page and section of the book.
Currently, there are no means to navigate pages without using the Table
of Contents. This will be corrected in a later release, but is provided
here in the interim for the use of all Phoenix builders. Note: This handbook
is for Phoenix 3.0, which is now more than a year out of date. Much of the
basic information, however, still applies.
Oasis OLC Builder's Handbook
This is a short but relatively all-encompassing quick guide to Oasis OLC on Phoenix 4.0
written by Iluvatar, one of PhoenixMUD's master builders.
Object Stat Table for Phoenix 4.0
This table lists the maximum stats possible for objects of each type in Phoenix 4.0.
This reference is intended for builders in designing their objects.
Mobprogs Handbook
An HTML version of the Mobprog handbook, originally written for MERC Muds. Slightly
edited for readability and grammatical content. Phoenix 4.0 has the ability to
write mob programs on the fly, allowing for greater depth of mob personality without
having to resort to writing Special Processes in C.
DG Scripts Documentation
Documentation for the DG Scripts package which is available on Phoenix 4.0. Allows a builder
to write triggers and scripts for rooms, mobiles, and objects. DG Scripts will replace mobprogs so
builders should write any scripts using this package instead of mobprogs.
